Method

  • Melt the butter in a pan and add the onion, fry for 15 mins gently. Stir in the flour. Then beat the grated cheese with the milk, put the onions in the flan case and season the cheese mixture and pour over the onions, bake at 375F for 30mins.

    •  1 shortcrust pastry-case
    •  2 0z butter
    •  1 large thinly sliced onion
    •  ½oz flour
    •  2oz grated cheese
    •  6 tablespoons milk
