Method
1. Set the oven to moderate.
2. Mix the flour, oatmeal, ginger, mixed spice and sugar together.
3. Heat the milk and treacle together and bring to the boil.
4. Add the bicarbonate of soda and stir until dissolved.
5. Pour over the dry ingredients and mix quiclky.
6. Add the mincemeat to mixture, beat well, then pour into the tin.
7. Bake for 40-50 mins. until the centre is firm to the touch.
8. When cold, cut into 18 triangles.
Ingredients
- 4 oz plain flour
- 3 oz medium oatmeal
- 2 tsp. ground ginger
- 2 tsp. mixed spice
- 2 oz sugar
- ¼ pint milk
- 3 tbsp. treacle
- 1 tsp. bicarbonate of soda
- ½ lb mincemeat
