Method


  • Mix all the ingrediants together .
  • Place the golden syrup in the basin
  • put the mixed ingrediants on top
  • cover with a piece of greaseproof or baking paper
  • put into microwave on full power for 2 minutes ,remove turn out onto plate, serve with more syrup or ice cream .
  • Tips

    • A ready made xmas pudding basin can be used if you have one left over from xmas you don,t have to buy expensive microwave dishes.
      Sponge can be used with Jam in the bottom ,makes a quick dessert as time suggest ,even if left plain & topped with custard is very light nice as a winter pud.

    • Fab, fab, fab...it really works, well 2 1/2 minutes in my microwave, but it was really light and just lovely! I would really recommend this to anyone with a microwave, really wasn;t expecting it to work having never done a cake in a microwave before, but it really, really did!

    • 2 ozs Self-raising flour
    • 2 ozs soft margarine
    • 2 ozs caster sugar
    • 1 egg
    • teaspoon ½ baking powder
    • 2 dessert spoons golden syrup
    •  1pint microwave basin
