Method
Cut meat up into chunks, chop carrots and onion and apples.
Saute meat and veg in tbls oil for 5 minutes in large pan, add in flour and mustard. Cook for anohter few minutes.
Add in stock and apple juice and bay leaf.
Transfer all to a casserole dish and add chopped apples, salt and pepper.
Cook in oven for about 2 hours.
Serve with mashed potatoes.
Ingredients
- 4 pork loin steaks
- 1 onion
- 2 carrots
- 1 tsp dijon mustard
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 pt vegetable stock
- 100 ml apple juice
- 2-3 eating apples
- salt and pepper
- 1-2 tbls flour
- 1 tbls oil for frying
