Method

  • Cut meat up into chunks, chop carrots and onion and apples.

  • Saute meat and veg in tbls oil for 5 minutes in large pan, add in flour and mustard. Cook for anohter few minutes.

  • Add in stock and apple juice and bay leaf.

  • Transfer all to a casserole dish and add chopped apples, salt and pepper.

  • Cook in oven for about 2 hours.

  • Serve with mashed potatoes.
  • Ingredients

    • 4 pork loin steaks
    • 1 onion
    • 2 carrots
    • 1 tsp dijon mustard
    • 1 bay leaf
    • 1 pt vegetable stock
    • 100 ml apple juice
    • 2-3 eating apples
    •  salt and pepper
    • 1-2 tbls flour
    • 1 tbls oil for frying
