Method

  • Brown stew in pot, add everything else.

  • Transfer to casserole dish and cook at 160oC for about 2 1/2-3 hours or until meat is tender.

    • just made this for tea with pasta and salad absolutely gorgeous and so easy. I've got sauce left over which I will freeze and use in a pasta dish some other time.

    • put it on low for about 3-4 hours. Normally when doing anything in a slow cooker you don;t need as much liquid.

    • have made this tonight for my family of 6 and it was enjoyed by everybody,,,,,we had it with creamy mash, roast potatoes, green beans, cauliflower, and some garlic carrots....absolutely delicious xxxx thank you xx

    • I use stewing beef, slow cooker would be perfect for this recipe.
      I have had it with either, rice, pasta or mashed potatoes...i think it goes best with mash myself.

    • 3-4 cloves garlic
    • 1 x 400g tin tinned tomatoes
