Method

  • 1. Cut the dates in half almost to the center (length ways) and remove the stone. Mix all the ingredients for the paste together.
  • 2. Roll the paste into sausage shapes and stuff in the dates. Place in paper cases.

    • 2 oz ground almonds
    • 1 oz icing sugar
    • 1 oz caster sugar
    • ¼ teaspoon almond essence
    • 1 tspn lemon juice
