Method

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350F degrees.
  • 2. Grease and flour 2 8-inch round cake pans.
  • 3. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients.
  • 4. Beat on low to combine.
  • 5. Beat on high for 4 minutes.
  • 6. Pour into the cake tin.
  • 7. Bake for 35 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
  • 8. Cool and frost.

    • 2 cups flour
    • 1½ cup sugar
    • 1 tsp. allspice
    • 1 tsp. baking soda
    • 1 tsp. cinnamon
    • ½ tsp. garlic powder
    • 1 can Heinz Tomato Soup
    • ½ cup shortening
    • 2 eggs
    • ¼ cup water
