Fry the mushrooms and onions in butter until soft and golden brown. Add the mushroom soup and if too thin, add cornflour to thicken, to make a thick sauce. Meantime, cook vol-au-vent cases as per instructions. When cooked add the mushroom sauce and serve as a lovely canape or starter.
Tips
One packet of the vol-au-ents has 36 so only use as mmany as you need.
This really is quick and easy especially if you have bought the pastry cases as Myrna suggests. My friends were so impresses and it looks so good on the plate. Light and tastey, a perfect starter.
