Method

  • 1. Chop 3 oz. of the cherries into quarters and keep the remaining 1 oz. aside to decorate the top of the cake.
  • 2. Mix the cherries,biscuit crumbs and muesli together in a bowl.
  • 3. Melt the margarine or butter and golden syrup together and mix into the dry ingredients.
  • 4. Stir well,then pack the mixture into the loaf tin and refrigerate for 2 hrs until firm.
  • 5. Turn out of the tin and remove the greaseproof paper.decorate with the remaining cherries,halved.

    • 4 oz cherries
    • 4 oz biscuit crumbs
    • 8 oz muesli
    • 3 oz margarine or butter
    • 3 tbsp golden syrup
