Mix all the pastry ingredients together to form a soft dough.Turn out onto a floured surface and knead until smooth,then roll out to an oblong shape measuring 10inx14in.
3. Make the filling:
Heat the oil and fry the onion until soft,then add the mince and cook for 10 minutes until well browned.Pour off any excess fat from the pan.
Mix in the carrots,mixed herbs,seasonings and water.
Leave aside to cool slightly ,then spread the pastry with tomato ketchup.
Spread the minced mixture over the pastry evenly,then roll up loosely.
Place on a greased baking sheet and cover with greased foil.Bake for about 1 1/4 hrs,until pastry is light and crumbly.

all loved it but was a good job i kept an eye on it as it was cooked after a hour

going to try this tonight but seems a bit strange to add water not stock so i am adding a stock cube will let u know how the family like it later
