Gooseberry Pie

Method

  • 1. Stem and wash the gooseberries.

  • 2. Combine the sugar, flour, and salt.

  • 3. Add the sugar mixture to the berries and cover all the fruit.

  • 4. Fill a pastry with the gooseberry mixture and stick with the margarine.

  • 5. Adjust top crust. Seal and flute edge. Cover edge of pie with foil.

  • 6. Bake in your oven at for 20 minutes.

  • 7. Remove the foil, then bake for another 25 minutes or until golden.


  • Ingredients

    • 4 cups  fresh gooseberries
    • 1 cup sugar
    • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
    • 1 tbsp. margarine
    • 1 pack Pastry. for double-crust pie
    • ¼ tsp. salt

    Instead of apple I used lovely gooseberries.
