Home Made Mini Burgers in Pitta Pockets

Method

  • 1. Light the barbecue.

  • 2. Place the ground beef in a bowl and stir in the onion, pepper and sauce.

  • 3. Season and mix well to combine.

  • 4. Make 8 small burgers.

  • 5. Grill the burgers on the barbecue, turning once, until the burgers are cooked through.

  • 6. Warm the pittas on the barbecue, then make a slit along one side and open up to form a pocket.

  • 7. Stuff with lettuce and sliced tomatoes, then add a burger. Serve immmediately.

  • Great with home made tomato relish or for the kids trusted Heinz Tomato Ketchup!

  • Tips

    • Can use bread rolls instead of pitta bread - my kids prefer pitta pockets and they love chosing there own filling - cheese, salad, sauce etc

    • 3 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    • 8 pittas
    • 8 lettuce leaves
    • 2 tomatoes. sliced
    • 2 pepper. chopped
