Method

  • Finely chop the onion, chilli, garlic and pepper and fry for about 5 minutes. Add the red wine vinegar and stir for 30 seconds. Then add the tomato juice (or a can of tomatoes), salt, pepper and oregano. Simmer for about 15 minutes.
  • Tips

    • Use a good quality tin of tomatoes.

    • I can't understand why you have written instructions to cook this salsa... that's the whole point of a salsa, it's raw. No offence, but this seems a little odd!

    • 1 pepper
    • 2 garlic cloves
    • 450 ml Tomato Juice
    • 0.5 tbspn red wine vinegar
    •  salt and pepper
    • 1 onion finely diced
    • 1 tbspn Oregano. dried
    • 1 Chilli (red or green)

    Very easy to make. Use more or less chili depending on taste.
