Method
Seive the flour, custard powder and cornflour, add the butter and make fine breadcrumbs.
Add the sugar then the egg and lightly knead to make the pastry.
Leave to chill in fridge for an hour.
Once Chilled line the base of a pie tin and fill with the apple.
Brush water round rim and put on the top to seal together.
Make a couple of slashes to realease steam whilst cooking.
Brush with a beaten egg and sprinkle with caster sugar.
Put in a preheated over 190C/Gas 5 for 40/45 mins until golden brown.

- 1 ½ Cup Self Raising Flour
- 1/3 Cup of Custard Powder
- 2 ½ tsp Cornflour
- 125g Butter
- ¼ Cup Caster Sugar
- 1 Egg
