Quick and Easy Cheesy Pasta Bake

Method

  • 1. Boil a pan of water add pasta shapes and cook for the amountant of time shown on back of packet.
  • 2. Whilst the pasta is cooking heat the chopped tomatoes, garlic, tarragon, tomato puree, salt and pepper, cooked chopped bacon(optional) on the simmering hob until heated through. If it is a bit liquidy add some cornflour. Stir whilst heating. When heated leave on a heat proof mat.
  • 3. Take the pasta of and drain. Add the pasta to the same pan as the sauce and stir until covered.
  • 4. Using a large deep baking tray put a thin layer of the pasta/sauce mixture in the ray and then a small layer of cheese. Then again add pasta and then again cheese.
  • 5. With your hands crumble up the crisps (not to small)and sprinkle evenly over the top. Add the chopped tomatoes sprending evenly.
  • 6. Finally do a very last tiny sprinkle of cheese and place in the oven on high just enough time for the cheese to have melted and the dish to be hot.
  • 7. Serve with garlic bread.
  • Tips

    • This dish is very filling so is good for families as it serves alot.

      This picture of my pasta bake has been made by using smalll pieces of brocilli, so you get one of your five a day included. You can either use brocilli or bacon or neither, there just extras.

    Ingredients

    • SAUCE
    • 1 tin chopped tomatoes
    • 1tsp garlic
    • ½ tsp chilli powder
    • 1tsp tarragon
    • 1tbsp tomato puree
    •  salt and pepper
    • 3 rashes cooked chopped bacon(optional)
    • 1tbsp cornflour (optional)
    • BAKE
    • 1 bag ready salted crisps
    • 100g  of pasta per person
    • 3 tomatoes chopped
    • 2 large handfuls grated cheese
