Method

  • 1. Finely chop mushrooms and onion.
  • 3. Fry mince in oil until brown.
  • 4. Drain mince in colander to get rid of excess fat.
  • 5. Fry onions until soft.
  • 6. Add mushrooms and fry until soft.
  • 7. Add mince, chopped tomatoes, tomato puree, seasoning, garlic and wine. Stir.
  • 8. Cook for 20mins simmering on a low heat.
  • 9. Serve with pasta and garlic bread.

    Ingredients

    • 500g lean minced beef
    • Medium onion
    • 350g mushrooms
    • 2 garlic cloves
    • 1 tin of Chopped Tomatoes
    • 2 tablespoons tomato puree
    • 1 teaspoon italian seasoning
    • 500ml red wine
    • 1 tablespoon olive oil
