into a large bowl , cover tightly & leave over night.
Preheat oven to moderate heat [170 C]
Add flour to mixture & stir to a smooth batter , pour into a greased, floured loaf tin & put into oven
Bake for about 45 mins or until a skewer
inserted comes out clean . leave to cool on
a wire rack.
to serve , cut into slices & spread with butter. Goes very well with a cup of tea
Tips
For best results I always use a coffee mug to measure the ingredients . this should be enough to fill a 2lb loaf tin . If you can resist , this cake gets much stickier after a day or two.

Yes that's right . I use Kellogg's ;the one that looks a bit like matchsticks .
