Wash and carefully dry figs.
Preheat grill.
Cut figs in half and place cut side up in oven proof dish.
Mix together sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over the figs.
Put a knob of butter on the top of each fig, spoon on the sherry and then place on lowest grill level for about 5 mins until butter and sugar has melted and figs become caramelised.
Serve with syrup spooned on top, with scoop of ice cream and brandy snap.
Can serve in tall glass (as pic) or on small plate.
