1. Put the onions, sliced mushrooms, herbs and garlic into a pan with the water. Bring to boil and let simmer for a while until it is all reduced and caramalised.
Let it cool a bit and then stir in the fromage frais or Quark.
Make sure your pasta or vegetables are cool enough, so the fromage frais will not curdle, when mixing in the sauce.
Tips
Try to have this sauce with beef stroganoff or chicken and mushroom pies. Guilt free!!
Low fat alternative! All the taste, but no guilt!!
