Spicy Fish Stew

Method

  • 1) Dice onion and garlic. Add to the pan.

  • 2) Peel and cube potatoes. Add to pan.

  • 3) Fill pan with water and leave to boil.

  • 4) When boiling, add lentils and reduce heat.
  • Simmer til lentils are cooked.

  • 5) Make up 1/2 cup of gravy using granules
  • (I use beef, but you can buy different
  • types - vegetarian is very nice).

  • 6) Add gravy and stir in. Add pepper and
  • chilli to personal taste.

  • 7) Simmer for 15 mins.

  • 8) Serve with bread. I usually warm it in
  • oven for 5 mins first.

    • ½ cup Red Lentils
    • 2 Large potatoes
    • N/A Black pepper
    • N/A  Chilli powder
    • ½ cup Gravy

    This is a traditional British dish, rarely used today. It is very spicy, but very simple.
