Method
Preheat the oven to 180c
1) Mix the flour & salt together then rub in the margarine.
2) Stir in sugar & fruit
3) In a seperate bowl beat the egg & milk together
4) Add the egg & milk to the other ingredients & mix to a soft consistency.
5) In a removable base cake tin grease it with margarine and line with greaseproof paper.
6) Pour the mixture into the tin place in the oven and cook on 180c for 50 mins.
7) Leave in tin to cool then remove from tin onto a wire rack.
8) Cut a slice and enjoy.

- 8oz self raising flour
- pinch of salt
- 4oz margarine
- 4oz caster sugar
- 6oz Dried fruit. eg sultanas. currants etc
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons milk
