- 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup Sugar. granulated
- 1/3 cup cornmeal
- ½ tsp salt
- 10 tbsp Butter,cubed
- FILLING
- 3 pears,ripe, peeled cored and cut into 8 wedges each
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp all purpose flour
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp ground ginger
- 2 tbsp turbinado sugar for glaze
- 7 medjool dates, torn into strips
- 1 egg,divided
