Low Fat Chicken Burgers

Method

  • Roughly chop chicken, onion, garlic, carrot and put in blender/food processor with egg, salt, pepper, paprika and parsley.

  • Blend and add breadcrumbs gradually until mix is of a consistency where you can ball it up and squash it into a pattie with your hands.

  • Cook under grill or fry in a non-stick pan for approximately 10 mins. Use cooking spray if you are concerned about sticking. The mix should make 4 generous sized patties. Add cheese when you're nearly done cooking so it melts on top of the pattie.

  • Serve the patties in rolls with salad, mayo, ketchup or chutney.

    • BURGER PATTIES
    • 2 Chicken breasts. boneless and skinless
    • ½ A medium onion
    • 1 Clove of Garlic
    • ½ A carrot
    • ½ Teaspoon paprika
    • 2 Tbs Chopped fresh parsley or 1 Tbs of dried parsley
    • Generous pinch Salt
    •  pepper to taste
    • ¾ Cup Breadcrumbs
    • 1 Egg
    • BURGERS
    • 4 Bread rolls
    •  Low fat cheese
    •  Sliced tomato
    •  Lettuce and/or Rocket
    •  Low fat mayonnaise
    •  Ketchup
