Upside Down Chocolate pudding

Method

  • Turn the oven on 195 degrees C first.

  • Cake mix:

  • Add all ingredients to a food processor and whizz for a min til smooth - the drop of milk makes it easier to process - but just a drop !!

  • Sauce

  • In a liquid measuring jug - measure the hot water (from a kettle but not boiling), add the other ingredients to it and stir until all dissolved.

  • Put the cake mix first into a 10 cm deep pyrex dish then,

  • Gently pour the sauce over the top.

  • You'd think it'd dissolve but it doesn't!

  • Place in an oven for 40 mins at 195 degrees C.

  • ....the cake rises through the sauce .. and the gorgeous chocolate "goo" ends up at the bottom. Heaven! Oh thankyou Mum!

    • CAKE MIX
    • 3oz self raising flour
    • 2 Tablespoons Cocoa Powder or Drinking Chocolate (or mix of both)
    • 4oz Butter
    • 4oz Sugar
    • 2 eggs
    • A drop of Milk
    • SAUCE
    • 4oz brown sugar
    • 2 Tablespoons Cocoa powder or Drinking Chocolate ( or mix of both)
    • ½ pint Hot water
