Method

  • soak fruit in tea overnight, mix rest of ingredients, place in loaf tin, 11/2 hours at 150.
  • Tips

    • Some people like to put butter on their slice of T bread. I use a greaseproof loaf liner which I find convenient.

    • 14 oz/400g SR flour
    • 11oz/300g Mixed dried fruit
    • ¾ pint cold tea
    • 7oz/200g brown sugar
    • 1 egg

    I like this recipe as it is fat free, cheap to make, quick to make, easy to make and I usually have all of the ingredients.
