Cheesy Mash

The Basics

Ingredients

  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 3 Knobs Butter
  • 4 med/lge Potato
  • handfull Grated mature cheder
  • pinch Salt
  • 5 tbsp Full cream
  • 1 tsp English mustard

Method

Peel the garlic and cut into two add this to your pan of salted water and bring to the boil. Peel the potatoes and cut in to 2inch cubes place these in the pan of boiling salted water.
After approx 20mins your potatoes should be soft
(check by pricking them with a knife if the potato falls off when you lift it out the water your ready)

Drain the potatoes and return to the pan, add you cream and butter and mash together. now the potato is smooth add the grated cheese and the mustard stir briefly.
Serve immediatly.

You dont need to remove the garlic for this dish. After 20 mins in boiling water the garlic becomes soft like the potato and is mashed in.
