- the beuty of this recipe is that you can make it to your taste by adding as much veg and different sorts to it, like adding mushrooms or maybe peas if you like. you can also make the gravy as thick and rich as you like, try adding a few spoons of red cooking wine to the gravy before the veg to make a rich dish. the stew always tastes better the following day after having time ti "stew" prepare it on an evening and have it for you dinner the next.
