Method

  • 1. Add the rice and pilau cube to a pan of boiling water for about 15 minutes or until cooked.
  • 2. In the meantime, fry the onions with the butter until soft.
  • 3. Add the mince and cook until it is no longer pink.
  • 4. Add the mushrooms, stock, curry paste, garlic and 1/4 mug of water, bring to the boil and simmer for approximately 5 minutes or until all of the water had evaporated.
  • 5. Once the rice is cooked, add it to the meat mixtures and stir until everything is blended together, then add the salt, pepper and coriander leaves.

  • This recipe should serve one person, but I quite like to make a bit more as it seems to freeze very well.

    • ½ Mug Rice
    • ½ Cube Pilau rice cube
    • 125g Lamb/beef mince
    • 1 Small onion. finely chopped
    • 2 Sliced mushrooms
    • 1 Clove of garlic. finely chopped
    • ½ Lamb/vegetable stock cube
    • 1tsp Coriander leaves
    • 2tsp Curry paste
    • 1tsp Butter
