Method

  • 1)preheat oven to 150 degrees.
  • 2)blits in a blender the porridge oats,orange peel and 25g of the apricots (and peanuts if wanted).
  • 3) tip into a bowl and add the butter ans egg white.
  • 4)mix with your hands (fun for the kids)
  • 5) add and mix the cocoa powder and remainer of raisins.
  • 6) add the warm water spoon by spoon until sticks together into a playdough or bread dough consitancy (this may not be necessary, if too wet add flour)
  • 7)put in the oven for 10-15 minuets.
  • 8) remove from oven and leave to cool.
  • Tips

    • so why is it healthy?
      -well for buiscuits it is very low in sugar and fat.
      - using only egg yolks which is rich in protein and has no colesterol.
      - contains apricots since are rich in vitamin c, raisins would be less healthy since high in natural sugars but cause cavities.
      -peanuts keep the heart healthy but can be quite fatty. (always use salt free peanuts)
      -oats keep you feeling fuller for longer.
      SO EAT BUISCUITS WITHOUT WORRYING ABOUT YOUR WAISTE LINE AND COLESTEROL.

    • 100g Porridge oats
    • 25g salt free butter
    • 10g Sugar. granulated
    • 1 orange peel
    • 2 egg whites
    • 1tbsp cocoa powder
    • 10/25ml Warm Water
    • OPTIONAL (25g) blitz peanuts
    • 50g fresh apricots (or raisins)
