Heat oven to 160 (gas 3). Melt butter, sugar and treacle. Take off heat and stir in the milk. Beat the eggs and add to mix with stem ginger. Add flour, ginger. Stir!
Bake for 30 mins.
To make icing, mix remaining ingredients together. When cake is cool, spread over cake. decorare with more stem ginger.
This is good as a pudding or as a grown up birthday cake.
