Put yeast, drop of sugar and baking powder into 1/4 cup lukewarm water. Allow to stand for 20 minutes.
Place flour in bowl. Make well in the centre and add sale, pepper and then oil. Pour yeast mixture on top of oil. Sprinkle some flour on top of this mikxture. Allow to stand for 20 minutes. Knead. Leave for approx. 2 hours until risen.
Make a gravy or filling with fried onion, tomatoes, garlic, celery, herbs, salt and black pepper. Place on top of pastry and then sprinkle cheese over. Other suggestions are mushrooms, olives, artichokes, anchovies, green peppers.
