Method
Fry onions in olive oil until soft.
Add red pepper.
Add chilli powder,fresh chilli,cumin and season.
Add steak mince and cook until browned.
Add sundried tomatoes with a little of their oil.
Add chopped tomatoes,cinnamon and wine glass of water.
Cook for 30 mins on low heat.
Enjoy with rice or wraps or both!
Even better the day after or after freezing.
Ingredients
- 1 onion
- olive oil
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 1 fresh red chilli. de-seeded and finely chopped
- 1 red pepper. deseeded and chopped into chunks (optional)
- 1 tsp cumin
- 800gr steak mince
- 200gr sun dried tomatoes in oil cut into strips
- 1 x 400gr tin chopped tomatoes
- 2 x 400gr tin red kidney beans. rinsed. drained
