Glazed Sausages with Bbq Chutney

Method

  • 1. In a non stick saucepan cook the onion and pepper in the oil over a medium heat for 5 minutes.

  • 2. Add 5 tablespoons Heinz BBQ Sauce with the tomatoes and 100ml water and rapidly boil for 12-15 minutes or until very thick in consistency, stirring occasionally.

  • 3. Remove from the heat and stir through another tablespoon of Heinz BBQ Sauce and season well.

  • 4. Cook the sausages on a barbecue with grey coals for 10 - 12 minutes or until cooked, turning every so often. A minute or so before the end brush the remaining 2 tablespoons Heinz BBQ Sauce over the sausages to glaze.

    • 1 Small red pepper. finely chopped
    • 2 tbsp. Sunflower oil
    • 4 Large ripe tomatoes. roughly chopped
    • 12 Sausages
