Method
1. Try slicing a 500g chocolate chip panettone into 6 layers: the central base into 4 and the ‘muffin’ top into 2.
2. Place 1 x 400g pack basics frozen berry mix in a bowl, slicing any large strawberries or blackberries, and add 1 tablespoon white caster sugar.
3. Whisk 300ml whipping cream until it forms stiff peaks and lightly fold through the berries.
Discard one of the panettone layers (use it for toast in the morning!) and divide the berry mixture between the layers.
4. Melt 120g dark chocolate in a small heavybased
pan or in the microwave and pour over the panettone. Place in the freezer for 4–6 hours and remove 10 minutes before serving.
5. Slice and serve garnished with more frozen berries for a luscious alternative dessert over the festive period.
