Method

  • Preheat the oven to 200C

  • Peel, core and chop the apples into small cubes. Place at the bottom of an ovenproof dish. Sprinkle over 2 of the tablespoons of caster sugar.

  • Rub together the remaining sugars, flour and butter until the mixture starts to look like breadcrumbs.

  • Sprinkle the crumble mixture over the apples.

  • Bake in the oven for 20 minutes, or until golden on top.

  • Delicious served with vanilla ice cream!

    • 2 cooking apples
    • 90g butter
    • 3 tbsp light muscavado sugar
    • 5 tbsp caster sugar
