1. Place all cake ingredients in a bowl and beat until no lumps are visible.
2. Divide evenly between 2 greased 7 inch sandwich tins. Bake in preheated oven for 25-35 minutes until a skewer comes out clean when inserted. Cool on a wire rack.
3. Beat all icing ingredients together in a clean bowl with an electric whisk (add more water if necessary).
4. Spread between and on top of the cakes once they are cool. Decorate with white chocolate buttons or coloured sprinkles.
