French Chocolate Dessert

Method

  • This is one for the special occasion and when the diet can go hang!

  • Break up the chocolate and melt it in the milk over a moderate heat. DO NOT LET IT BOIL.

  • Whisk up the buttter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg yolk and then add the chocolate milk. The heat will cook the egg, so don't worry.

  • Into a nice dish place about half the macaroons/ratafias. Dampen them slightly with a light sprinkling of cognac. Pour over HALF the chocolate mix. Repeat this section once more. Leave to set in the 'fridge overnight.

  • Enjoy!

    • 200 grm Dark. fine chocolate
    • 225 ml Milk
    • 100 grm Caster Sugar
    • 100 grm Butter
    • 15 grm broken up Macaroons/Ratafia Biscuits
    • 1 yolk only Egg
    • Some Cognac/Brandy
