Method

  • Melt the butter and golden syrup together.

  • Mix all the dry ingredients except the bicarbonate of soda.

  • Add t tbsp of boiling water to the bicarbonate of soda and add it to the butter and syrup mixture.

  • Make a well in the dry ingredients and add the liquids. Mix well.

  • Place teaspoonfuls of the mixture onto a greased sheet of baking paper and bake at 180°C for 6-8 minutes until golden
  • Tips

    • Makes around 30 biscuits

      When they come out of the oven they will be very soft - they set when they cool

    • 85g Porridge oats
    • 85g Dessicated coconut
    • 100g Plain flour
    • 100g Caster Sugar
    • 100g Butter
    • 1 tbsp Golden Syrup
    • 1 tsp Bicarbonate of Soda
