Method
Melt the butter and golden syrup together.
Mix all the dry ingredients except the bicarbonate of soda.
Add t tbsp of boiling water to the bicarbonate of soda and add it to the butter and syrup mixture.
Make a well in the dry ingredients and add the liquids. Mix well.
Place teaspoonfuls of the mixture onto a greased sheet of baking paper and bake at 180°C for 6-8 minutes until golden
Tips
- Makes around 30 biscuits
When they come out of the oven they will be very soft - they set when they cool

- 85g Porridge oats
- 85g Dessicated coconut
- 100g Plain flour
- 100g Caster Sugar
- 100g Butter
- 1 tbsp Golden Syrup
- 1 tsp Bicarbonate of Soda
