Beef Stew(slow Cook)

Method

  • 1.Add all prepared vegetables to bottom of slow cooker.

  • 2.Put some flour in a bowl and roll beef around until all peices have a light dusting and remove shaking of any excess flour.

  • 3.Add a little oil to saucepan and fry beef for about 5-8 mins until brown but not cooked and place in slow cooker.

  • 4.Mix oxo cube to hot water about 2 pints and pour in cooker until meat is just covered.

  • 5.Set cooker to Low and cook for about 7 hours.

  • 6.After a couple of hours add the gravy granules.


  • This is lovely served with warm crusty roll.

  • Ingredients

    • 500g Diced Beef
    • 2 Large Carrots sliced
    • 1 Medium Onion chopped
    • 1 Leek sliced
    • 1 Swede peeled & cubed
    • 1 Oxo beef cube
    • 4 tbsp Beef gravy granules
    •  Water
    •  Flour
