Apple Crumble

Ingredients

  • INGREDIENTS
  • 600g Bramley apples
  • 100g sugar
  • 1 cloves
  • 150g (topping) Plain flour
  • 100g soft brown sugar
  • 50g butter or margarine

Method

  • 1. Peel, core and slice the apples.

    2. Cook gently with a few drops of water, sugar and clove.

    3. Place in a pie dish, then remove the clove

    4. Lightly rub the fat into the flour and combine with the sugar.

    5. When the friut is cool, add the topping and bake in a hot oven 220c (reg. 7 425F) for about 30 minutes until lighty browned.

    6. Serve with custard, cream or vanilla ice cream.

    You can have it with apple, blackberry, apple and gooseberry, rhubarb, rhubarb and ginger (all using cooked fruit) Rasberry, blackcurrant, damson(using raw fruit)
