Method

  • 1. Set oven to 185 celcius
  • 2. Beat marg and both sugars together in a bowl.
  • 3. Beat the egg separatley and then add to the mixture. Stir it all in.
  • 4. Chuck all the chocolate chips in.
  • 5. Sift eveything else in and stir everything together.
  • 6. Roll into about 12 little balls and place on a baking tray.
  • 7. Cook for 10-15 minutes, depending on how soft you want them.

  • When they are taken out the oven, they will seem very squidgy. Thats fine, its just because of the amount of chocolate in them.
  • Ingredients

    • 225g Flour (self raising or plain)
    • 125g Margerine
    • 100g white sugar
    • 100g brown sugar
    • 1 egg
    • ½ tsp baking powder
    • ½ tsp bicarbonate of soda
    • 2 ½ tbsps cocoa powder
    • 100g white choc chips
    • 100g plain choc chips

    I found this recipe in a library book, its a favourite with all my friends, they are constantly begging for me to make them a batch. I recommend making double the mixture :)
