Method

  • 1- Melt a little marg in either a pudding basin or loaf tin.Brush all sides.
  • 2- Crush digestive biscuits
  • 3- Coat the sides of the pudding basin or loaf tin with the crushed biscuits.
  • 4- Whip the Cream until soft ( not stiff)
  • 5- Crumble merigne nests into the cream and mix together.
  • 6-Pour the cream mixture into the prepared container.
  • 7- Cover the container with foil and freeze - at least overnight- can prepare a number of days in advance.
  • 8- To serve , place container into another container of just boiled water for a couple of minutes then turn out ice cream onto a serving plate.Decorate with soft berries & dust with icing sugar.

    • 1 pint Double Cream
    • 1 Packet Merigne Nests
    • 3-4  Digestive Biscuits
    • ¼ lb Soft berries
    • Dusting Icing Sugar
    • Heaped teaspoon Marg
