In a separate bowl sift flour, salt, bicarb and baking powder, add half the flour mixture gently folding in, add milk.Add mashed bananas and choppped dates along with the rest of the flour with a folding action. do not over mix.
Spoon into lined loaf tin and bake in oven for 50-60 minutes. Test with skewer when it comes out clean it's ready.
Friend of mine gave me this recipe when I said I had dates left from Christmas and some over ripe bananas. So gave it a try, its now a favourite, especially naughty with butter!
