Method

  • To make pastry combine butter and sugar and the egg then add the flour to make a dough. Knead it into a ball and put in the fridge for an hour

  • Roll out the dough as thin as you can and cut circles with a glass and put into the bottom of 12 hole pastry tin (I line them with paper cases

  • Bake for 10 mins on high and then leave to cool.

  • menawhile chop the pecans and then put butter and sugar into a saucepan and dissolve the sugar and then add the pecans

  • When the tarts are cooled, spoon in pecan mixture into tarts and leave to set
