Crunchy Golden Syrup Biscuits
Method
Preheat oven to Gas mark 2/150 c
* Put butter and syrup into a pan and warm until butter is melted.
* Remove from heat and mix in the bicarbonate of soda and vanilla essence.
* Beat in the flour.
*Allow to cool and roll out until wafer thin.
* Cut shapes with a biscuit cutter and place onto a greased baking tray.
Bake for 7-9 minutes.
Ingredients
- 4 oz self raising flour
- 1 oz butter or margarine
- 2 tbsp golden syrup
- ½ tsp bicarbonate of soda
- ¼ tsp vanilla essence
