Mama Andersons Easy Lemon Drizzle Cake

Method

  • Mix the drizzle ingredients together to make a syrup.

  • Mix all the ingredients and add enough milk to make a soft batter that drops off the spoon.

  • Bake for 30-40 minutes at 180 degrees until a skewer comes out clean. When the cake is still warm prick all over with a meat fork and pour over the lemon drizzle.

    • 100g Butter
    • 175g Self-raising flour
    • 1tsp Baking powder
    • 175g Golden caster sugar
    • 2 Large eggs
    • 6tbsp Milk
    • LEMON DRIZZLE
    • 1 Lemon
    • 1tbsp Sugar

    Mama used to make this for us at the drop of a hat and boy was it good, straight out the oven and still warmmmmmmmmm!
