Chicken Stir Fry

The Basics

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp Oil
  • 1 packet Stir fry vegetables
  • 4 tbsp Dark soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Sherry
  • 2 tbsp Cornflour
  • 4 Chicken breasts
  • 125 ml Water
  • 1 small piece Ginger

Method

1. Cut chicken into strips

2. Mix sherry with cornflour to make a paste

3. Heat 1 tbsp of the oil in a wok and stir fry chopped ginger for about 1 min

4. Add the remaining oil and heat add stir fry vegetables and stir fry over a high heat for 2-3mins

5. Add soy sauce, sherry paste and chicken strips

6. Stir fry for about 3-4 mins

7. Add water continue to stir fry for another 1-2 mins until liquid boils and starts to thicken

8. Serve at once with noodles or rice
