The Basics

Ingredients

  • 100g Vermicelli (very thin)
  • 500ml Milk
  • 1tbs Ghee/Sunflower oil
  • 50g Cashew nuts
  • 1pinch Safforn
  • 50g Raisins
  • 5-10 Almonds
  • 50-100g Sugar

Method

*please note Nuts and Safforn are optional for allergic people*

1) Make sure you buy very thin Vermicelli meant for Kheer from any Indian shop. (Take help from the shopkeeper if not sure).

2)Heat Ghee or Sunflower oil in a Pan, break the vermicelli and put it in the Pan, Fry for 2-3 mins until light brown.( Note:You dont have to do it for already fried Vermicelli)

3) Heat milk add all the ingridients, once boiled add the vermicelli and let it boil for 5-10 mins.

4) Serve it hot or refrigerate it and serve cold.

Hint:Add Sugar as per your taste. Control the thickness by adding extra milk/water.
