Method

  • 1. Lightly butter cake tin

  • 2. Put butter, golden syrup, and sugar into a saucepan until the ingredients have melted/dissolved. Stir in oats and mix well

  • 3. Put into tin and make sure surface is smooth

  • 4. Bake in oven 180c for 3o mins

  • 5. Remove from oven and allow to cool for 5 mins then mark into required number/shape of biscuits (finger or squares). Leave to cool completely then cut and remove from tin
  • Ingredients

    • 4 oz  Butter
    • 3 oz Golden syrup
    • 3 oz Light muscavado sugar
    • 8 oz Rolled oats
    • 1 8 x 12" shallow cake tin
