to make the base crush the digestives until they resemble chunky breadcrumbs, pour over the melted butter,cool for 5 mins before adding the chocolatye chunks. mix thoroughly before pressing the mix into the base of a dish making sure the mix comes up the side of the dish to hold the filling.
chill the base and set it whilst you are making the filling.
put a pan on the hob on a low heat, add the butter and sugar,melt slowly and thoroughly until dissolved, add the condensed milk and bring to the boil, stir continuously until the mix turns into caramel, this can often take 5-10 minutes, be patient, if you leave the pan at this point it will likely burn,once very thick and caramel, pour it over the base and chill in the fridge for an hour until cold. then slice up the bananas and arrange over the caramel then whip the cream and pipe over the top and cover the caramel and bananas. serve chilled
